Dr. Antonio Sims is a Physician double board-certified in ophthalmology and internal medicine. He received his specialty training from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University in New York City.
Dr. Antonio Sims participates in American Academy of Ophthalmology-sponsored prevention and educational programs such as, Diabetes 2000 and Glaucoma 2001. He also provides physician-to-physician alert publications on eye care, and promotes physician-to-patient awareness programs. Having run a state-of-the-art practice in the under-served area of the Bronx for more than 16 years, he has a unique understanding of eye care delivery to the needy. He spent three years accumulating research on the effect of poor eye care in developing countries. The result of this research led to a commitment to improving eye care delivery in these countries. Over the years, Dr. Sims has experienced how the needy will seek good care if it is available to them, will care for themselves if shown how, and go on to become productive citizens of the world.
